Mark E. Murray
Mark joined Turning Basin Capital in 2013 from Dominion Resources (NYSE:D) to lead its energy-focused private equity investment efforts. Mark spent 11 years at Dominion where most recently he managed the strategic investment activities with a focus on equity investments in the area of energy innovation, leading the successful closing of six growth equity investments. During his time with Dominion, Mark also held a variety of roles in the legal department, which included providing strategic advice and business development for Dominion's natural gas transmission and storage business, as well as managing the assets of the former Dominion Capital. Earlier in his career, Mark, an attorney and a CPA, practiced corporate law for Troutman Sanders and accounting for Arthur Andersen.
He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in accounting and the University of Richmond School of Law.
Thomas I. Willingham
Tom was a founding member of Turning Basin in 2013 and joined the firm as a full-time Managing Director in 2015. Tom has provided investment banking services, including M&A advisory services and public and private capital formation, with a focus on middle-market service industries since 1995. From 2002 through 2015, Tom was President and Senior Managing Director of Ewing Bemiss, a middle-market investment banking firm focused on the energy sector. Tom led the practice at Ewing Bemiss focused on advising companies in the energy, infrastructure and industrial services sector. Prior to joining Ewing Bemiss 2002, Tom was a Director with First Union Securities’ Investment Banking Group (now Wells Fargo Advisors), and prior to that, was a Vice President with Dain Rauscher Securities, a leading regional investment bank in the Texas / Southwest region.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.S. in Commerce) and has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University).
